4 Reasons Why I Decided To Announce My Pregnancy Early
Something that really irks me is always having these societal norms around us for everything. One of them that bothered me a lot was when to announce your pregnancy? Every website I looked at mentioned waiting until the 12 week mark to announce your pregnancy, but if I'm being honest that just feels way too long.
I'm currently 11 weeks pregnant, and we decided to announce our pregnancy about a week ago, the day I hit 10 weeks. I really didn't care what the "societal norm" was because this is what I felt was best for me, and what I felt most comfortable with.
Let's be real... The only reason we are afraid to announce our pregnancies early is because we're afraid of it not being viable. But instead of being afraid, let's just focus on the celebration of life! There's literally a life growing inside of you, and this is not the time to worrying about announcing your pregnancy early because of one stipulation. Every single week, the chances of a healthy pregnancy increase.
The truth is, when to announce your pregnancy is up to you. But here's 4 reasons why I decided to announce my pregnancy early.

1. There's literally no rules
You don't have to listen to what the internet or everyone else says. I've seen people share the news at 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and even 20 weeks. I hate the fact society tries to tell us what is best for us. You need to do what's best for you and what feels right!
2. To be able to questions and for help
I think one of the hardest parts about keeping this a secret for me was I didn't really have anyone to go to for questions, or if what I was feeling was normal. I'm not going to call my doctor every time I feel a weird pain, or browse the internet for misinformation, and opinionated websites. Can you believe so many different websites say multiple different things?!
Once the news was out, I loved being able to ask on Instagram for different opinions, or even on Facebook about the anxiety I was feeling. This leads me to my next reason.
3. Build a support system
Even if the worst would happen, now you don't have to go through it alone. I feel like it would be so much harder to have a lost pregnancy, and have to suffer alone, than having the love and support of my family and friends and people to talk to about it. Even those who may have already gone through it would be a wonderful support system.
On the positive side, I also want to share the good and my journey! The last week has been wonderful now that everyone knows the news. I've had lots of people reach out and ask how I'm doing, offered things if I need it, and was already wished Happy Mother's Day. I know how much Baby J is already loved.
4. We already had 2 healthy ultrasounds
I had an early ultrasound at 7 weeks as a part of a first prenatal appointment where we could see Baby J's heart, and were given a due date. Unfortunately, my second ultrasound was at 9 weeks from an ER visit when I was experiencing bleeding from a hemorrhage. But that one was healthy too. Since we already had our sonogram photos, we decided it was finally our time.
I truly think I've had such a healthy pregnancy due taking Beli Baby Prenatal Vitamins. I do not think I would have had such a smooth first trimester without them. (also no morning sickness!)
I started taking these about 6-7 months before I got pregnant so that my body already had the nutrients it needed before Baby J was conceived. Beli Baby has checked all the boxes for me in terms of nutrients such as folate (which greatly reduces miscarriage), Iron, Calcium, Iodine, and Cohline. Of course everything else is wonderful, but definitely extra!
