Farmhouse Master Bedroom Decor Reveal 2022
When we first moved into this home, the bedroom was completely a blank slate. I loved the idea of being able to do whatever I wanted with it, and finally getting started in turning this into our dream farmhouse master bedroom. Below are all of the before photos. It was a large space, with dark carpet, plain walls, and no window treatments. It really needed some help.
I'm not kidding when I tell you we only started with a bed, 2 tiny nightstands, an old, ugly dresser and a chair that didn't even match any of it. I really wish I had photos to show you, but I don't anymore. After we got all of that furniture settled in, we first decided to paint the wall. I knew for this farmhouse style bedroom I wanted to go with a natural, calming theme so I knew I wanted to use greens and browns.
So... we painted the bedroom accent wall behind the bed April Arbor by Valspar. It turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined and I always get so many questions about it!
By switching out our Queen bed for King, it helped fill the space of the room a bit better. We ordered this mattress in a box, a new platform bed, as well as this cloud soft comforter from Target. It was like the bed was completely transformed! Above the bed we also added a custom farmhouse master bedroom sign above our bed from Etsy. I went with the largest size, and I love that it should suffice for years to come.
We switched out or previously small nightstands for something a little larger, that added more texture and natural elements to our farmhouse boho bedroom. These
are from Wayfair, and I couldn't be happier with them! They add the perfect boho farmhouse touch to our master bedroom reveal. They're spacious, functional and everything I was looking for. They are always coming in and out of stock.
The exact
are from Target, but no longer available unfortunately.
In the back corner I added a
for more color, and a
for storage. This photo was taken before the tree came into play, and how I originally had the blanket ladder styled. I still think it looks really cute though even if it doesn't look like this anymore!
We ended up replacing our gray wash, gaudy dresser with something, sleek, modern and classic like this
from Target. The quality is absolutely phenomenal, and we do eventually plan to change out the knobs.
To keep the wood element throughout the room, I added this gorgeous
from Target as well. It's enormous, and adds so much beautiful light into the space for under $100.
If you noticed in the before photos, the bedroom had the famous "boob light" fixture. To keep things interesting and to match the black frame above our bed, we added this stunning
to give the ultimate
boho farmhouse bedroom
feel.
When I first saw it, I knew it was an absolute must have for the space for the boho, natural vibes I was going for. I was afraid at first that it was going to be too trendy, but still to this day I haven't gotten tired of it. It also makes a cute pattern on the ceiling when lit.
Also, by adding
to the room it give it so much more height, and depth.
Lastly, the show-stopper of the bedroom... The famous egg chair. I didn't intentionally buy this for the bedroom. I originally bought it for our back patio, but since it was February, I decided to fill up the space in the bedroom and figured by May I would take it outside where it belonged. Well, lo and behold, I really ended up loving the texture it added boho farmhouse style as well. I loved it so much that we have ended up keeping in there for about a year now. It constantly comes in and out of stock, so if you're looking for a show-stopping boho farmhouse piece of furniture, just keep checking back here!
